Asian Games 2018: Vinesh Phogat becomes the first Indian women wrestler to win historic gold medal at Asian Games

The latest Golden girl of India Vinesh Phogat wins the gold medal in 50kg freestyle by beating Japan's Yuki Irie 6-2. This is India's second and historic gold medal at the Asian Games.

Phogat became the first ever Indian women wrestler to win a gold in Asian Games. She beats Japan's Irie Yuki in the final match. It was India's second gold in Asian Games after Bajrang Punia (65kg) who won the first gold medal  on the opening day of the Asian Games tournament.

Bronze Medal -1

Vinesh Phogat had won the gold medal in women's 50kg freestyle wrestling at 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia where she had defeated Jessica MacDonald of Canada in the final.
