Poll strategist turned politician Prashant Kishor on Tuesday launched an attack on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar with whom he has had differences over JDU’s tie up with BJP at a press conference in Bihar.

While hitting out at Nitish Kumar over lack of development in the state, Kishor announced a new campaign in the state "Baat Bihar Ki".

"I am not going anywhere and I am here to work for Bihar. I am inviting young people of Bihar who want to see development and work done in Bihar to join me in this campaign, 'Baat Bihar Ki', to build our state," said Kishor.

"I invite all those who want to see a new Bihar that will not rank below all other states on development ratings. I want to see Bihar climb up the state rankings from the current 22 to 10. I want to make Bihar one of the top 10 states. This campaign will be launched on March 20," announced Prashant Kishor.

While attacking Nitish Kumar, Prashant Kishor stated that the JDU headman has done a lot of work for Bihar, yet, the state is still amongst the poorest and the young population still has to move out of the state to look for jobs.

"We need to see if this gathbandhan is helping Bihar. Even after so much bowing down, is it helping Bihar," Prashant Kishor asked, attacking the JDU-BJP alliance.

"For 15 years, Bihar saw much development under Nitish. But is this new friendship helping in any way? Nitish Kumar is siding with people who believe in the Godse ideology. Gandhi and Godse can't go together," Prashant Kishor said.

Nevertheless, Kishor further went on to say that the state of Bihar was the poorest in 2005 and carries on to be so and there is no one to raise objection to Nitish Kumar’s governance model.

"You keep talking about how much the state had progressed since the Lalu regime, but it has been 15 years that you are ruling the state. How much has Bihar progressed compared to Maharashtra or Karnataka," asked Prashant Kishor while attacking Nitish Kumar.
