Pak to release Wing Commander Abhinandan today as peace gesture: Imran Khan

Pakistan PM Imran Khan has announced in the Parliament that they will be releasing Indian Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman tomorrow in a ‘peace gesture.’

Radio Pakistan tweeted saying, “Prime Minister @ImranKhanPTI announces to release the #Indian arrested Pilot #Abhinandan by tomorrow as a peace gesture.”


As reported by Dawn, in the special Parliament session, before the Opposition leaders took the floor, PM Imran Khan intervened and said, ‘I wish to announce that the Indian pilot captured by Pakistan Air Force a day earlier will be released tomorrow as a peace gesture.’

The gesture was later on greeted with support from every party present in Pakistan’s Parliament.
