The National Security Advisors of India and Pakistan met in Bangkok on 6 December and discussed various issues, including cross border terrorism.
The Ministry of External Affairs tweeted about the meeting. The ministry said the meeting was held in a candid, cordial and constructive atmosphere.
Earlier this month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nawaz Sharif had met briefly during the Paris Climate Conference.
External Minister Sushma Swaraj is scheduled to visit Pakistan on 8 December to attend a meeting on Afghanistan.
Earlier this year, the NSA talks were cancelled between both countries because of the controversy created by Kashmiri separatist leaders like Syed Ali Shah Geelani.
