Union minister Nitin Gadkari warned other political parties ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. He told to other political leaders that make only those promises which they can fulfil.

‘People like those political leaders who make big promises. But, if the leader fails to fulfil them then, the public can beat them. So, make only those promises which they can fulfil.’

Gadkari also told that he is not among those who make tall promises with no results. ‘What I promised to public fulfil it 100 per cent,’ Union Minister told.

He also told that Mumbai’s media persons know that what kind of a person he is as they have seen him how he completes the projects. ‘they do trust me,’ 61-year-old politician from Nagpur added.

On this statement of Gadkari, Asaduddin Owaisi took to Twitter and wrote, '@PMOIndia sir @nitin_gadkari is showing you the mirror ,and in a very subtle way ........'

Gadkari, a former BJP president, also spoke about his stint as Maharashtra’s PWD minister when the Shiv Sena-BJP government was in power (1995-99) in the state.

“People used to laugh at me when I, as PWD minister, used to claim that I was going to build over 50 flyovers in Mumbai, and bring down the travel time between Mumbai and Pune to merely two hours (via 91-km expressway),' Gadkari told.
