The Delhi Police on 28 November arrested Khalistani terrorist Harminder Singh Mintoo who had escaped from Punjab's Nabha jail on Sunday.

According to media reports, Mintoo was nabbed in a joint operation by Delhi and Punjab police.

One of the accused of the Nabha jailbreak, Parminder Singh alias Painda, was arrested by the Shamli Police yesterday and huge cache of arms was also seized from his Fortuner car in Uttar Pradesh's Shamli.

The Punjab Government has suspended the Director General (Jails) and dismissed the Nabha Jail superintendent and deputy jail superintendent and set up a special task force to look into the Nabha jailbreak incident.

A group of armed men in police uniform, who pretended that they were bringing a handcuffed criminal, broke into high security Nabha Central jail of Punjab yesterday and took along six inmates including Mintoo.

The men, reportedly, came in four cars. Three parks were parked outside, while one car was used to reach one of the jail gates.
