MP HC ordered removal of PM Modi pictures from the house tiles built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana; here’s why

Madhya Pradesh High Court has ordered to remove the photos of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the houses built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna. Yes, the high court has ordered to remove the Modi pictures from the tiles laid under the PMAY by 20th December.

This will be shocking for the Bhartiya Janta Party government in Madhya Pradesh. MP High Court has also ordered to remove the photos of the state CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan from the houses.


In the order, it has been said that there should be no photos of any political leader on any house built under the PMAY scheme.

 

 

HC has ordered to remove the already fitted tiles within three months and also sought a report from the MP government by 20th December.

The notice has been released by the bench to the state and central governments after a petition (PIL) was filed by a resident of Datia, Sanjay Purohit in July.

The petitioner had questioned that why the photos of PM Modi and MP CM has been used inside on the houses constructed under the scheme.

Furthermore, the petitioner's advocate argued that the houses were built using public money, and not for electoral benefits.

However, the central government ready to remove the photos and also informed the court that it would be removed.

The state government, in its reply, informed that an order had been issued for the removal of the photos.
