On 4th December, India will celebrate the day as Indian Navy Day. On this special day, Indians will honour the achievements and role of our Navy officers who took the charge to spread the peace and security in the country.

This special day is celebrated on 4th December because on this day Operation Trident was launched during the 1970 war against Pakistan.

Under this operation, Indian Navy attacked Pakistan’s naval headquarter in Karachi. During the attack, the Navy used the three Vidyut-class missile boats, two anti-submarine vehicles and a tanker. Indian Navy conducted this operation during the night and was one of the biggest success of the Navy as there were no reports of casualties took place from the Indian side.

On the other hand, five Pakistani sailors were killed and around 700 were left injured in this operation Trident.

This operation proved that our Indian Navy is very capable and also a big threat to the enemies, including the pirates.

On such special and the big day, Twitterati also paid their tribute to the Indian Navy and poured their wishes.
