Clash between TMC and CPI(M) in Asansol; one dead

One Communist Party of India (Marxist) worker died, in a clash between CPI (M) and All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers in Sidhopur Baghdiha village under Jamuria police station of Asansol.

Reportedly 14 persons, including six TMC and eight CPI(M) supporters were injured in the clashes. The clash had broken down on late night of 17 August over the issue of increasing the wages of paddy field labourers.

The injured people had been immediately rushed to Asansol district hospital where a CPI(M) supporter Hiralal Bauri was declared brought dead by the doctors.Following the incident heavy tension is prevailing in the area, heavy police force has been deployed in the area to avoid any ruckus.
