Chennai: Speeding water tanker kills 3 college students, injures three others

Three students of Chellammal Woman's College in Guindy died and three others suffered injuries when a water tanker ploughed into a crowd near Spic office on Anna Salai on 13 October.
The injured were immediately rushed to Government Royapeth Hospital. However, the driver of the tank fled the scene.
Following the accident, people staged a protest, due to which traffic from Guindy towards Little Mount was affected.
The deceased have been identified as Chitra, Gayatri and Ayisha. Chitra and Gayatri were second year B Com students while Ayisha was in her final year B Com.
