Body of a woman found stuffed into a sack of potatoes in Delhi

A body of a young woman was found stuffed into a sack of potatoes in Darya Ganj on 5 February. The sack was found on the Parda Bagh footpath on Netaji Subhash Marg in Darya Ganj.

The woman, who is reported to be between 25-30 years of age, was found wearing a white t-shirt and black leggings. Her hands and legs were bound with rope while a a pink shawl was tied around her neck.

According to a Northeast Today report, the victim is Tzukdirenla Imsomg, a resident of Jharkhand and her husband is associated with the 26 CRPF Battalion. Joint commissioner of Delhi Robin Hibu told Northeast Today that girl had spoken to her mother on Thursday evening. Imsong - who hails from Dimapur - reportedly told her mother that she was in Jharkhand.

Investigation is on in the matter. A case has been registered at the Darya Ganj police station.
