A video has went viral on the social media wherein three Rashtriya Bajrang Dal women workers have defied the Supreme Court’s order and conducted “aarti” inside the premises of the Taj Mahal.

The Archeological Survey of India (ASI) has said that they are investigating the matter and the police is looking up the video.

The video of three women, in which they were chanting ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ and carrying the ‘Ganga Jal’ inside the Taj Mahal. The district president of Bajrang Dal’s women wing, Meen Diwakar, has said that, “her organisation would continue performing 'aarti' and purifying the Taj Mahal with Gangajal so long as the norms of ASI are flouted by others. She added that the administrative authorities could not stop them,” as reported by zeenews.

The activists of the Bajrang Dal said, “Today we performed 'pooja' in our Taj Mahal, sprinkled Gangajal to purify it. Some people had made it impure by offering 'namaz'. They have Fridays for that purpose. That is why we performed 'aarti.”

The woman activist added that they were warned by the administration of legal action but they still took the step.

The activist added, “That is good. There is no problem with that. If they can take their Qurans and offer 'namaz' inside the historical premises, why can't we take our 'pooja' materials inside? We went there in a peaceful manner. If the authorities think we have done something wrong, we will face the action. But first, they have to charge them too.”

The Supreme Court has restricted any one from praying inside the premises of the Taj Mahal, except the persons and workers who live inside the monument.
