Anil Baijal to be next Lieutenant Governor of Delhi

On Wednesday, it was declared that Anil Baijal is set to become the next Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, following the sudden resignation of former LG Najeeb Jung.
In a surprise move, Jung stepped down from his post on 22 December.
Baijal has served as the Union Home Secretary during the Atal Bihari Vajpayee regime.
Baijal had also been considered for the post of Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.
Former LG Najeeb Jung had tendered his resignation on 22 December, 18 months before the end of his tenure.
