Udta Punjab: Shahid Kapoor's Ud-Daa Punjab sure to become the party anthem of the year
The fourth video song from the album of Udta Punjab titled 'Ud-Daa Punjab' which is the theme song of the drug drama, is set to be launched across the digital platform on 3 June 2016.
Catch got an exclusive glimpse of the song which features Shahid Kapoor in a never-seen-before avatar of Rockstar Tommy Singh. The peppy music composed by Amit Trivedi and quirky lyrics penned by Varun Grover create the ambience of a live rock concert. It seems like the song is sure to dominate the playlist of DJs across clubs in India.
The song has been picturised solely on Shahid Kapoor with vocals by Vishal Dadlani. The duration of video song, which will be out on YouTube tomorrow (3 June) afternoon, is 2 minutes and 27 seconds.
Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, Udta Punjab revolves around the issue of drug abuse in the state of Punjab. In the film, Shahid Kapoor will be seen as a rockstar, Kareena Kapoor as a doctor, Alia Bhatt as a Bihari migrant and Diljit Dosanjh will essay the character of a police inspector.
Udta Punjab releases on 17 June 2016.
