Destiny's Child gets its own verified Instagram account. Fans suspect a comeback

The all-girl band that launched Beyonce - Destiny's Child - has launched a verified Instagram account 10 years after breaking the band. Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams made up the trio that captured pop culture and ruled the musical charts before each went solo.

The account, which is run and controlled by Sony Music Entertainment, was set up on 21 October and has been sharing photographs and trivia since then. Despite sharing just 4 photographs and being just 10 days old, the account already has 32.7k followers.

It is the nostalgic captions that accompany the pictures that have sent tongues wagging and hearts racing in the DC-fandom.

One image, which is reported to be their promotional shot for their single Girl in 2005, of the trio dressed in gold was accompanied with the caption: Girl became the fifth Destiny's Child single to earn a gold record from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on this day in 2005.

The band parted ways in 2006 to carve out solo careers, but there has been heavy speculation that the trio will come back together next year to mark its 20th anniversary.

Although heads at the label are seemingly keen to add fuel to the fire, Rowland shut down the speculation earlier this week by declaring that no reunion conversations have taken place.

Despite splitting up 10 years ago, the former bandmates have always remained close and supported each other's solo careers.
