Rape victim beheads assailant's 5-year-old son

In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh district beheaded a five-year-old boy after she was allegedly raped by his father, the police said on 22 October.

The deceased has been identified as Amit. The boy was playing outside his house when the girl lured him to a vacant plot nearby and beheaded him, Khair police station inspector Rajveer Singh said.

The girl allegedly smashed Amit's body with bricks, wrapped it in a polythene bag and set it on fire. The incident came to light after dogs found the half-burnt body the next day.

The girl was nabbed after the boy's family told the police that he was last seen with her. During interrogation, the girl confessed that she committed the murder because the boy's father, Rinku, who is a labourer had raped her after giving her a whitener, to which she is addicted.

Singh said that the girl has been taken into custody after registering an FIR. The girl's father has also lodged an FIR against Rinku for having raped her.

Police have registered a case of murder against the girl under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the SC/ST Act. On the other hand, Rinku has been booked under section 376 of the IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act.
