Home guard jawan rapes a minor girl in Uttar Pradesh

A home guard jawan allegedly raped a 10-year-old girl in Kotwali area of Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh, the police said.
The girl had gone out for some domestic work when the home guard jawan, Ratan Rai, raped the victim on 25 October evening at an agriculture field, they said.
The family members of the minor filed an FIR against Rai, they said, adding that the jawan was arrested on the same day.
The victim has been sent for medical examination and further investigation is underway, police said.
