Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Harinarayan Rajbhar has sparked controversy after he was caught on camera allegedly abusing and threatening government officials for not 'solving' people's problems.

According to a Pradesh18 report, the MP from Ghosi was caught on camera threatening to burn the district officials alive.

During a programme, Rajbhar said he would launch a movement against the government officials if they do not help the public and solve their grievances. The MP was also seen abusing the officials. "Just being mute spectators won't help now, a movement against them will be launched and a fight is necessary," he said.

This is not the first time that the BJP MP has sparked controversy. In 2015, an FIR was filed against Rajbhar after he allegedly abused Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav. In 2014, Rajbhar courted trouble when he threatened to beat Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders when they were protesting against the Centre during the Railway Budget session.
