IPL 2016: Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Knight Riders by 22 runs; keep title hopes alive

Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 22 runs in the IPL Eliminator at the Feroze Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi on Wednesday, 25 May, to keep their title hopes alive.

Sunrisers posted a total of 162 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, with Yuvraj Singh scoring 44 runs and Moises Henriques contributing 31 to the total.

In reply, Knight Riders fell short of Sunrisers' score by 22 runs, with Bhuvneshwar Kumar picking up three wickets for the latter, and Henriques rounding off a good day with two wickets for 17 runs.

Skipper Gautam Gambhir scored 28 runs, while Manish Pandey scored 36.

With the loss, Kolkata Knight Riders have been eliminated from the tournament. Hyderabad, on the other hand, will meet Gujarat Lions on Friday, 27 May, for a place in the final.
