India all set to buy six Apache helicopter from US for $930 Million

The United States State Department said on Tuesday that the US government has cracked a deal of six AH-64E Apache attack helicopters with the Indian government. It would cost $930 million to India.
Currently, the agreement is set for approval from the US Congress, if no objection is being raised by US lawmaker then the contract would get a green signal.
American company Boeing and Indian conglomerate Tata have already started production of Apache fuselages marking the first made in India project from the Hyderabad facility. In fact, the first fuselage has been transported to Boeing’s Apache in Mesa, Arizona on June 1.

However, this approval concerns a direct sale of finished products from US manufacturers.
In this project, main contractors are US arms, Lockheed Martin, General Electric and Raytheon.
US Defense Security Cooperation Agency said,"This support for the AH-64E will provide an increase in India's defensive capability to counter ground-armoured threats and modernize its armed forces."
