UP Horror: Man sets 10-year-old boy ablaze after committing heinous crime

In a tragic incident has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagrah where a 22-year-old man has committed a heinous crime by setting ablaze a body of a minor child.

Before killing the child, the man allegedly tried to sodomize the minor near Ainuddinpur, Sasur Kharedi River Road on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old accused identified as Salman, who is a resident of Kareli, has been arrested by the Police. The incident took place within the territorial limits of Kareli Police Station.

According to inspector AK Singh, the man allegedly lured the minor boy on the pretext of playing with him in the afternoon on Wednesday. Shockingly, the heinous crime committed when the state has been put on coronavirus lockdown.

This is the first case that the accused tried to sodomize the child, the inspector said.

As per media reports, the minor also opposed the actions of the accused and screamed for help.

When the child cried for help, the accused tried to strangle him due to which the minor lost consciousness for a few seconds. The accused Salman thought the boy has died and hence, he decided to burn the 10-year-old boy.

He took the child to a shrub nearby, burnt him, and fled from the spot thinking that flames would ultimately incinerate the body. However, the child was alive and before the flames killed him, he cried for help.

On hearing the voice of the boy, locals came to rescue him from the fire. The minor boy has suffered injuries on his abdomen, the inspector said.

Meanwhile, the police arrested the accused on Thursday.
