UP: 15-year-old girl allegedly raped by her father in Shamli’s Jalalabad
A fifteen year old girl was reportedly raped by her father in Jalalabad area in Shamli, police stated on Saturday. The accused has been taken into custody based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s mother, police stated.
In accordance with the First Information Report (FIR), the victim’s mother alleged that her husband intimidated their daughter of grave consequences if she go public with the matter.
The victim has been sent to a hospital for a medical examination.
Police have lodged a case under sections 376, 378 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
