Republic Day 2020: Chinook, attack helicopter Apache make their debut flypast at parade

Heavylift helicopter Chinook and attack helicopter Apache, both freshly introduced in the Indian Air Force (IAF), was a participant in the 71st Republic day flypast for the first time on Sunday.

The Chinook is able to airlift diverse loads in dim and distant locations. It is a heavy lift, twin rotor helicopter which has augmented IAF’s lift ability across a range of military and HADR missions.

The attach helicopter Apache, on the other hand, is a multipurpose helicopter which has the ability of firing air to air and air to ground missiles, rockets and front gun aided through fire control radar which can unshackle widespread destruction on the enemy.

It has given the Indian army forces a remarkable supremacy over the adversaries on the combat zone.
