Rajdhani Express derailed in Madhya Pradesh after a truck rammed into the train breaking the gates of crossing

Coaches of a Rajdhani Express which was bound for Delhi derailed on Thursday after a truck rammed into the train breaking the manned gates of the crossing near Thandla in Madhay Pradesh. No passenger got injured but the truck driver died.

The news agency ANI reported about the incident. 

The news agency tweeted "Madhya Pradesh: Truck rammed into a manned level crossing b/w Godhra & Ratlam & hit Trivandrum Rajdhani train.2 coaches derailed. Truck also damaged, driver critically injured. No injuries reported to any passenger. The crossing was closed for road traffic at the time of incident".

The agency further  reported "The truck driver died after he rammed into a manned level crossing between Godhra & Ratlam and hit Trivandrum Rajdhani train at 6:44 am today. Two coaches were derailed. No injuries reported to any passenger".

 

The driver hit the closed crossing and got deeply damaged. The driver was intially critical but later succumbed to the injuries. Oneindia.com quoted western railway as saying "All the passengers of affected coaches have been shifted to the other coaches & 12431 Rajdhani Express has been moved ahead from the accident site leaving the affected coaches. Restoration work is on to start the lines at the site as soon as possible.''
