Rachakonda Police Commissionerate fulfills 17-year-old cancer patient's cherished wish

Rachakonda Police Commissionerate on Tuesday fulfilled the wish of a 17 year old cancer patient by appointing her Police Commissioner for a day.

Earlier, Ramya from Old Alwal, studing in second year acted as the Commissioner of Police. The Make a Wish Foundation spoke to Mahesh Bhagwat IPS, presenting before him the long standing wish of A Ramya of becoming Commissioner of police for a day.


 

 

A Ramya is a student of a private collage in Suchitra, she is a second year MPC Intermediate student.

She is currently fighting blood cancer and receiving her treatment from NIMS Punjagutta Hyderabad.

After she took charge as the Commissioner of Police of Ranchkonda, Ramya stated that she like to take charge of the law and order situations, set up a friendly police environment in the limits of Rachakonda Commissionerate and she will bring good name to the Commissionerate.

She further stated that she felt extremely glad being Commissioner of Police and she wanted to nip in the bud to property offences and take care of the law and order issues in Rachakonda limits and for the safety of women, she will induct more female teams and patrolling parties.

Mahesh Bhagwat IPS CP Ranchakonda and Sudheer Babu Addl Commissioner of Police Rachakonda hoped for Ramya’s speedy recuperation and presented her with a small financial aid of unforeseen circumstances.

The 17 year old was given guard of honour alongside her mother A Padma.
