Punjab cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu has been invited by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan for the foundation-laying ceremony of the Kartarpur Sahib corridor in Pakistan.

Sidhu has confirmed about the invitation and said that ‘I received an invitation from Pakistan PM Imran Khan and the Pakistan High Commission in India has also contacted me to know my itinerary.’

On 28th November, Pak PM will lay the foundation stone for the Gurudwara’s corridor on the Pakistan side. While on 26th November, President Ram Nath Kovind and Punjab CM Amarinder Singh will inaugurate from the Indian side.

This big move has come forward a day after when India and Pakistan decided to construct the corridors on their respective sides so that Sikh devotees can visit the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur, which is located across Ravi river in Pakistan.

However, Sidhu was landed in trouble this year after he went to Pakistan to attend the oath ceremony of Pak PM on 18th August and also hugged the Pakistan Army chief General Qamar Bajwa.

Later, he had to justify his visit to Pakistan and said that he went there as a messenger of peace.
