Chandigarh Railway Station: Woman strips, bites women constables when asked to pay taxi fare

A shocking news came to light from Chandigarh where a 33-year-old woman was arrested for assaulting women constable and creating ruckus at Chandigarh Railway Station on Saturday. As per police, the accuse who is a resident of Uttrakhand refused to pay the fare of taxi and instead started arguing with the driver.

The incident came to light when a taxi driver called police for help as the lady was stern to not pay the fare. After raising the alarm two women constable reached the spot and started convincing the accuse to pay the fare, however, the accuse was still not ready to listen.


In the wake of this, she started arguing with the cops and allegedly she stripped at the railway station and also slapped and bit the women constables. On seeing this 2 more constables rushed to the parking lot and arrested the woman under the relevant sections of Indian Penal Code and have seized her luggage also. On Sunday she will be produced before the court.

In a similar incident, an undertrial man assaulted cops in Thane’s Naupada area. The incident took place in February when the accused Mohammad Sihal Shaukat Ali was being taken back to the Thane Central Jail after his hearing at Mumbai court. He attacked the police as they refused to let him eat home-cooked food which was brought to the court by is family. He abused the cops and spat on one of the police. Not just this he also bit the finger of one of the officials and in all this he even injured himself.
