Aditi Chauhan continues to be an inspiration for aspiring women footballers of the country, as she became the first Indian to win the 'Women in Football Award' at the third Asian Football Awards in London on Thursday, 19 November.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper created history three months ago when she became the first Indian female passport-holder to feature for an English football club after being signed up by West Ham Ladies.

Chauhan, who hails from Delhi, had represented India in the Asian Games and in the SAFF Championships. Known for her outstanding shot-stopping skills, Chauhan has taken little time in cementing her place in the club's first team this season.
