The 2015 UEFA Super Cup game between Barcelona and Sevilla turned out to be one of the most engrossing encounters in the annual match's 40-year history, as Barcelona and Sevilla played out a nine-goal thriller in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Europa League champions took the lead in the 3rd minute courtesy of a free-kick, but Champions League holders Barcelona soon took the initiative with two goals in the next thirteen minutes through two Lionel Messi free-kicks. Rafinha extended Barca's lead just before the break, and Luis Suarez made it 4-1 in the 52nd minute.
Sevilla, however, hit back immediately, and reduced the margin in the 57th minute through Jose Antonio Reyes. The club from Seville scored two more goals in the next 24 minutes through Kevin Gameiro and Yevhen Konoplyanka to send the match into extra-time.
In the 115th minute, Barcelona's diminutive winger Pedro Rodriguez finally settled the tie in his club's favour as he scored from close range after Sevilla custodian Beto parried away a Lionel Messi free-kick.
