When 13-year-old Saroj Khan fell in love with her guru and decided to marry him
Saroj Khan said alvida to her near and dear ones today at 1:52 am after suffering cardiac arrest. She is Bollywood’s one of the best choreographers who has choreographed more than 2000 songs in her 40 years of career. Saroj followed her passion for dance since a very young age and by the age of 13, she was an assistant choreographer.
Well, everyone knows about her happy moments and cheerful career however no one knows that she suffered a major setback in her personal life. In a throwback interview with Rediff.com Saroj Khan opened up about her marriage at the age of 13 and about her kids. She revealed that she got married to her guru and dance director B Sohanlal who was 43 then. "I used to study in school those days, then one day my dance master Sohanlal tied a black thread around my neck and I got married", she had said.

However soon after a couple of years, her marriage hit the rock after her son Hamid Khan was born and they separated. However, she reunited with him again when Sohanlal suffered a severe heart attack. They tried working on their relationship and then they both were blessed with another child, daughter Hina Khan.
However, one fine day Sohanlal shifted to Chennai leaving her and their kids back in Bombay all alone. In the interview, ace choreographer stated that since he was not ready to give his name to the kids, she moved on and married a businessman named Sarhar Roshan Khan with whom she has a daughter named Sukaina Khan, who is known to run a dance institute in Dubai.

Saroj Khan rose to the fame from Sridevi’s iconic dance song Main Naagin Tu Sapera from Nagina. Then she choreographer her in Mr India in songs such as Hawa Hawai. Those who don’t know then let us tell you that Saroj has won 3 National Awards for film Devdas, Jab We Met and Sringaram (Tamil).
