WB Postal Circle Recruitment 2019: 5778 vacancies released for GDS posts; here’s how to apply

Good news for aspirants who want to apply Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) under West Bengal Circle. The recruitment drive re-opened for aspirants who were left to apply for the WB GDS posts.

As per the official notification, “Re-opening of portal for submission of online applications exclusively for West Bengal Madarasa Education Board candidates for Cycle-I notification dated 05.04.2018 as per orders of Ld. High Court from 05.12.2019 to 14.12.2019 (10 days). The terms and conditions of Cycle-I notification only will apply for this”

To apply for 5778 posts candidates need to visit the official website of India Post at www.indiapost.gov.in or www.appost.in/gdsonline. The application process will begin on December 5, 2019. The last to apply for WB GDS recruitment is December 14, 2019.

WB Postal Circle GDS Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification and Experience:

Candidates who have passed class 10th from a recognised state or central board are eligible to apply for the vacancies. No weightage will be given for possessing any qualification(s) higher than the mandatory educational qualification. The Candidate passed the Xth class examination in the first attempt will be treated as meritorious against those passed compartmentally.

Aspirants should also hold the knowledge of computer and also have a computer training certificate for at least 60 days from a recognised Computer Training Institute.

Age Limit:

The minimum age limit required to apply for the post is 18 years while the maximum age limit is 40 Years

Selection procedure:

Candidates will be selected on the basis of automatic generated merit list

• Female and PwD candidates – No Fee
