IBPS Clerk 2017-18: Here are the books for Clerical Mains exam preparation

IBPS has declared the Clerical cadre (CWE Clerks -VII) result on 29 December 2017. Now, selected students, who will appear for the Mains exam, have to gird up their loins to beat the next level of competition.

According to the IBPS official website, Clerk mains exam will be held on 21 January 2018. It is going to be really tough for every candidate because for every single seat there will be hundreds of candidates or more. So, if you are planning to crack the Mains in one go, then you must have an edge over other competing students.

The IBPS Clerk Mains Syllabus constitutes of 4 subjects that you have to cover thoroughly: Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, General Awareness

Today, we are suggesting the list of books that can help you in preparing for the IBPS Clerical Mains 2018:

1. Quantitative Aptitude Books

Preparing for banking exams, it's necessary to give utmost importance to the Quant section. Some conceptual and short-cuts based recommended books are Quantum CAT by Sarvesh Varma, Quantitative Aptitude by R. S. Aggarwal, Fast Track Objective Arithmetic by Arihant's Publication, Quicker Maths by M Tyra.


2. Reasoning Ability Books

Questions based on Syllogism, direction and distance, seating arrangement, blood relations and inequalities etc always be the part of the every bank exams. To crack the competition students must practice reasoning questions then cramming it. Some books for Reasoning Ability are- Kiran's Tricky Approach to Competitive Reasoning Verbal & Non Verbal or A New Approach to REASONING Verbal & Non-Verbal by B.S. Sijwalii (Author),‎ Indu Sijwali (Author) and you may also practise from some previous year papers will help you get an idea of the type of questions.


3. English Language Books

For English language section, you have to know the basic knowledge of grammatical rules. Work on to build up your vocabulary. Without knowing the rules of grammar, every question will be hit and trial for you. Books to prepare for the exam are- Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis, General English by Lucent or practice the rules from the book “Plinth to Paramount” (both the volumes).

4. General Awareness Books

To maintain your general awareness stay in touch with the currents events happening at national as well international level. This section will fetch you maximum marks in minimum time. Spend at least one hour to this section. Although there are many books available to prepare for General awareness section. But some recommended books that will surely help in cracking the competition are Manorama Yearbook and Banking Awareness by Disha Experts, Lucent’s General Knowledge book 2018, Advanced Objective GK 11000+ MCQ etc.
