CBSE Class 10th Board Exam 2020: Board to conduct two separate exams for this subject; read details

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct its board examination in between February and March 2020. Recently, CBSE has made new changes for class 10th aspirants and announced to conduct the two examinations for Mathematics examination.

As per the notification, the first paper will be of basic Mathematics, while the second paper will be standard Mathematics.


While filling up the registration form for class 10th board exam 2020, candidates will have the option of choosing the subject.

Candidates who would choose the basic mathematic as a subject will not be able to take up mathematics in class 11. Therefore, students should keep in mind that they will only appear for the paper which they have opted during the registration for board 2020 exam.

CBSE Board 10th Maths exam syllabus:

Board has not changed any syllabus for its two mathematics exam i.e. Basic and Standard exam. Candidates should keep in mind that the difficulty level for both type exams will vary.

Recently, CBSE has issued a circular to the heads of the schools and said that students will have to produce death certificates in case of the loss of their parents.

Also, students will have to submit their medical certificates in case of any leaves.

Board has already started the preparations for the board exams for its class 10 and 12. As per the previous trends, the Board is likely to begin its board examinations for both classes from mid-February 2020.

Recently, CBSE revised the registration fees for CBSE Class 10th, 12th. For SC and ST students, the application fees have been increased from Rs 50 to Rs 1,200. While examination fees for the General category aspirants have been doubled, therefore, candidates will have now have to pay Rs 1500.
