CBSE Board exam 2020 fees revised! Check new fees structure for Class 10, 12

The Central Board Secondary Education (CBSE) has started its registration process for the Class 10th and 12th Board exams 2020 by increasing the registration fees category-wise. The registration for both classes has to be done in class 9th and class 11th.

As per the official notification, the application fees for board examination has been revised for SC and ST students from Rs 50 to 1,200. While examination fees for the General category aspirants have been doubled, therefore, candidates will have now have to pay Rs 1500.


CBSE in its notification asked all its affiliated schools to collect the fees as per revised norms.

The students appearing for class 10th board exams will have to register in class 9 and those who are appearing for class 12 their registration will be done in class 11.

The board has made the changes in the registration fee last week and also asked the schools who had already begun the registration process and charged the old fee will now have to collect the revised fee.

Hike in fee structure for five subjects:

As per the new norms, the SC and ST will have to pay Rs 1,200 for five subjects while earlier, they were supposed to pay Rs 50 for the same, a hike of 24 times.

For general category students who were paying Rs 750 earlier, will now pay Rs 1,500 for five subjects. 

Earlier, CBSE has released a notification regarding Registration of Class IX/XI students for session 2019-2020.
