A seven-year-old girl who was seriously injured in Gurugram when she was hit by a speeding car after she got off her school bus on 9 May, died on 17 May.

No arrest have been made so far. The driver of the school bus is still absconding.

The girl was being treated in Gurugram's Medanta Hospital and had slipped in to coma on 15 May.

The girl was a student Gurugram's Ryan international School. Her parents had alleged that on 9 May, the school bus dropped her off at a place that was much further from the designated bus stop, where her mother was waiting. The parents also alleged that there was no attendant present on the bus when the child was dropped off and that the girl was hit by a car when she was trying to cross the road on her own.

The incident comes months after a six-year-old was found dead in a water tank in South Delhi's Ryan International School.
