Youngest Test captain Rashid Khan's all-round show puts Afghanistan on top

Afghanistan’s newly appointed Test captain Rashid Khan helped his team be on top after the end of play on Day 2. Bangladesh finished the day at 194-8 on Friday at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium where it is playing a one-off Test against Afghanistan.

Rashid Khan performed both with bat and ball on Day 2. Rashid scored his first Test fifty to first help Afghanistan with the bat when he scored 51 before he was caught and bowled by Mehidy Hasan. Afghanistan was bowled out for 342 runs, Asghar Afghan and Afsar Zazai scored 92 and 41 respectively.


When Bangladesh came in to bat Rashid Khan scalped 4 wickets under his name, while Mohammad Nabi picked two to put the host in danger. After the end of play on Day 2, Bangladesh is still trailing behind by 148 runs.

For Bangladesh, Taijul Islam scalped four wickets while Shakib Al Hasan and Nayeem Hasan picked two wickets each.
