One of the weirdest thing happened in the history of cricket yesterday. In a match between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders, Imran Tahir started celebrating a wicket even before he got it.

It all happened in the 11th over when Tahir was bowling to Shubman Gill. Kolkata were five wickets down and under pressure, Tahir bowled a googly which Gill could not judge, the ball beat his inside edge and went into MS Dhoni’s hands. Everybody knows MSD doesn’t miss one, even before Dhoni could take the bails down, Tahir was already celebrating.

The commentators took notice of it too and in a post match interview, Dhoni was asked a question about the incident to which he replied, "I think he trusts me." Classic Dhoni, always has a humorous answers to everyone’s queries.

As far as the match is concerned, Chennai Super Kings beat Kolkata Knight Riders by seven wickets to go right on top of the points table. CSK won the toss and MS Dhoni decided to bowl first, the decision proved to be a boon for them as CSK bowling attack demolished KKR’s top-order batsmen to restrict them to 108-9 in 20 overs.

Andre Russell once again proved that he can bat in any condition. While KKR’s wickets were falling at the other end, Russell was the lone man standing. Russell hit a fantastic half-century in 44 balls. This might not be his fastest fifty but his team was in need of it. Russell was awarded the super striker of the match for his 44-ball 50. And the man of the match trophy was given to CSK’s Deepak Chahar for his 3 wickets from 4 overs.
