Virat Kohli and his team Royal Challengers Bangalore are out from the race of qualifying for the Indian Premier League play-offs. Virat and his team started their IPL campaign poorly as they lost six consecutive games before getting their first win against Kings XI Punjab.

The elimination of Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore is a good news for Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as the Indian captain would get some rest before the world’s biggest 50-over tournament starts.

Before the IPL started Virat Kohli said that players who are probables for World Cup 2019 should take rest in the league whenever they feel. MS Dhoni did not play two matches as he was suffering from back stiffness.

Virat Kohli and Royal Challengers Bangalore are left with two more matches to play as they are the bottom placed team in the points table this will just be a formality.

BCCI announced the 15-member World Cup squad to be captained by Virat Kohli and would want the best player in the world to be fully fit before the big event.

Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore lost their 8th match in the IPL after Delhi Capitals defeated them by 16 runs to qualify for the play-offs. RCB never won the IPL trophy and this year as well they are bottom placed. Their best result came in 2016, when they reached finals but lost against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
