The 15th match of the IPL season 11, between Dinesh Karthik's Kolkata Knight Riders and Ajinkya Rahane's Rajasthan Royals. KKR won't the toss and the skipper chose to field first. Well, the Rajasthan Royals had to chase the target set by the opponent team. The RR threw the target of 163 runs against KKR but the KKR's batsmen scared the Rajasthan bowler hitting high and registered the 3 win of the season. KKR won the match by 7 wickets and tops the standard list of the season by winning 3 matches out of 5. Nitish Rana become the man of the match.

RR's skipper Rahane and Short came to open against the KKR and gave a cool start to the team. Rahane scored 36 runs from 19 balls, D'Arcy chased 44 runs. KKR's Nitish and Curran took two crucial wickets of Royals making the weaker.

Ajinkya Rahane seems disappointed

"I thought we were 15-20 runs short. In T20 it's always not about scoring 180. In this format, fielding is a crucial part. We let ourselves down in fielding. Very disappointing," he says at the post-match presentation.

The KKR's Sunil Narine and Chris Lynn came to open against Royal's and shockingly, Lynn was made to walk out on 0 by Gowtham. Later, Robin Uthappa (48), Nitish Rana 35 and Dinesh Karthik chased 42 runs unbeaten and won the match. Krishnappa Gowtham took 2 wickets of KKR.

"It feels good to get two wins on the trot. Slowly things are falling in a good direction. I felt that the wrist spinners would be a little harder to pick and that the fast bowlers would come onto the bat. Which is why we bowled them at the start. The way Robin batted was fantastic, he set the tone for us, and it was good to see Nitish bat through for us. The only thing I would tell a player like that is to be consistent through a long tournament like this, which I'm sure he's looking forward to doing," after winning the match KKR skipper Dinesh Karthik said.
