IPL 2020 auction: From Glenn Maxwell to Dale Steyn; Here's a look at base prices of few marquee players

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 auction is scheduled to be held on 19th December in Kolkata. 971 cricketers from all over the world are expected to be on sale during the IPL 2020 auction.

Ahead of the IPL 2020 auction, quite a few players were traded while some were retained by their respected teams. However, the 2020 auction, will be a closing window for all the franchises to form an opinion of their weaknesses and add the finishing touch to it.


Here’s a look at the base price of few marquee players in IPL:

Robin Uthappa, who has been released by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the forthcoming edition, has a base price of Rs 1.5 crore, as per espncricinfo.com. It also makes Uthappa highest base priced Indian cricketer for IPL 2020 auction. Shaun Marsh, Kane Richardson, Eoin Morgan, Jason Roy, Chris Woakes and David Willey have all kept the same base price for the auction.

T20 crackerjack Chris Lynn, Dale Steyn, top ranked Test bowler Pat Cummins and all rounder Glenn Maxwell have all kept their base price at Rs 2 crore. Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Marsh and Angelo Mathews are the other cricketers who have the identical base price.

Australia fast bowler Mitchell Starc, for now, has decide not to take part in the upcoming auction.
