Former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir doesn’t pull too much punches as he hit back at Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi after he said Gautam has a lot of attitude but no great records. Gambhir has offered to take the former Pakistan cricketer to a psychiatrist.

Afridi recently published his autobiography ‘Game Changer’ where he wrote about the infamous Gautam Gambhir episode. Afridi was talking about a bilateral series (wrongly referred as Asia Cup) held in Kanpur in 2007 where both of them got involved in a heated argument.

Afridi wrote, “I remember the run-in with Gambhir during the 2007 Asia Cup, when he completed his single while running straight into me. The umpires had to finish it off or I would have. Clearly we had a frank bilateral discussion about each other's female relatives.”

Gautam took to his official Twitter account to reply to the Pakistan all-rounder as he wrote, “@SAfridiOfficial you are a hilarious man!!! Anyway, we are still granting visas to Pakistanis for medical tourism. I will personally take you to a psychiatrist.”

Gambhir is currently fighting 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Delhi east constituency where he is up against Aam Aadmi Party’s Atishi Marlena. Gambhir joined Bhartiya Janata Party on 22nd March this year. Gambhir was part of 2007 T20 and 2011 World Cup winning team and played an important knock in the finals of both the tournament.
