Big Blow! Virat Kohli hit on finger during practice session ahead of first T20I against Sri Lanka

Indian captain Virat Kohli was hit on the little finger of his left hand while catching the ball on the eve of the first T20I against Sri Lanka.

The incident took place in the first half of India’s practice session.


Team India’s physio Nitin Patel rushed to attend the Indian skipper as he was seen applying the spray. The only notable absentee from India’s practice was spin all rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who was last to arrive here.

Both Sri Lanka and India are playing their first T20I match after 22 months.

India defeated the West Indies 2-1 in their last T20I series, while Sri Lanka are smarting from a 3-0 defeat in Australia.

It appears to be an uphill task for the Island nation as they are yet to win a bilateral series against the Indian side, across all formats, since Virat Kohli’s debut in 2012. since then they have lost 16 matches in a row.
