Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will be presenting the annual budget for the year 2017 despite the death of sitting Member of Parliament E Ahamed this morning.

The parliament typically adjourns for a day after the death of a member of the parliament.

Lok Sabha speaker Sumita Mahajan paid obituary to E Ahamed before the budget was tabled and said that the house will be adjourned tomorrow.

Jaitley will present the Union Budget 2017-2018 in the Lok Sabha at 11 am. Many ministers, including Lalu Prasad Yadav and HD Deve Gowda said that the Budget should not be presented today.

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee also took to Twitter to express her resentment on the Budget 2017.
