Sunny Leone's adult comedy, Mastizaade, which was struggling to get a censor certificate due to a lot of bold content, was finally cleared by the censor board with an Adult Only certificate.
The film, which also stars Tusshar Kapoor and Vir Das, was slated to release on 4 December 2015 alongside the erotic thriller Hate Story 3 starring Zareen Khan and Daisy Shah. However, it seems that the terrific response to the trailer and songs of Hate Story 3 have scared the makers of Mastizaade.
Releasing two adult films on the same day would have been an extremely risky move as they cater to the same audience. Neither of the films would have done well.
The makers of the Sunny Leone-starrer have made a smart decision to postpone the release. However, Mastizaade director, Milap Zaveri, revealed that the decision to postpone Mastizaade is more personal than professional.
He said that releasing both movies on the same day would affect the relationship between the makers of the Sunny Leone film and Hate Story 3 producer, Bhushan Kumar, who holds the music rights of Mastizaade.
The new release date of Mastizaade is expected to be announced soon. According to the insiders who have seen some snatches of the film, which stars Sunny Leone in a double role, audiences can expect twice the fun and twice the mischief.
