Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan interacted with the media at an event in Mumbai, after the release of Housefull 3.

The comic caper, which has raked in around Rs 80 crore at the Box Office in its opening week is one the verge of breaching past the Rs 100 crore mark by Monday, 13 June, 2016. At the press conference, producer Sajid Nadiadwala promised that the team will return soon with Housefull 4.

Though Akshay Kumar too was keen to start shooting for Housefull 4 as soon as possible, he revealed how it was difficult to get the right script for a film franchise like Housefull. He said,

"I appreciate your question as thanks to it, I will get the opportunity to work in a comedy film like Housefull again. On a serious note, we will soon sit together to discuss about the possibility of Housefull 4. All I can say right now is that Housefull 4 will take some time to go on floors. The gap between Housefull 2 and Housefull 3 was 4 years.

I believe it is very difficult to write a script for a series like Housefull where all the mishaps occur in one house. It will take around 1 or 1 and a half years to write the script and only after that we will officially announce the film and its release date."

Housefull 3 featured Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon in pivotal roles.
