Why was Diljit Dosanjh not present at the Kapil Sharma's show?

Actors Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh have been seen promoting their upcoming film Phillauri on social media. Just a few days ago Anushka did the shoot for the Kapil Sharma show, to promote the film, but she was not accompanied by her co-actor Diljit Dosanjh .

Reportedly, the reason behind his absence is the channel, Colours, that airs a reality show The Rising Star, where he appears as a judge. Apparently the channel has strictly instructed him to not appear in the show.
Incidentally there were reports of a huge tiff between Colors' CEO, Raj Nayak and Kapil Sharma because Sharma had ditched them to join a rival channel. Looks like the channel is not ready to forgive Kapil yet.
