What separates Great Grand Masti from Masti and Grand Masti? Riteish Deshmukh explains

Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, Vivek Oberoi and Urvashi Rautela launched the theatrical trailer of Great Grand Masti, the third instalment of the successful MastiFranchise at an event in Mumbai.

This is Riteish Deshmukh's fourth adult comedy after Masti, Grand Masti, Kya Kool Hai Hum and Kya Super Kool Hai Hum. On being questioned whether venturing into the adult comedy genre repeatedly will disappoint his fan base, the actor said,

"I don't think my fans will be disappointed because I am doing an adult comedy like Great Grand Masti. I think as an actor, I get the opportunity to explore various genres and I don't like to look down upon any kind of film. There is not a single film that I am embarrassed being a part of as I only do films that appeal to me. Grand Masti was a successful film and so was Lai Bhaari. So it is great to be accepted in different films."

Riteish also believes that the adult comedy genre definitely has a saturation point. However with Great Grand Masti, the team has tried to explore a totally different genre that separates the film from its prior two instalments.

"Of course there can be saturation point for me in this genre but I think everyone does realise it while making a particular film. When we have something new to offer, there is new humour and that is what keeps the Masti Franchise free from saturation point. For example, Great Grand Masti is a naughty comedy in a horror space. I don't think any other film in India is made in this space," said Riteish.

Great Grand Masti releases on 22 July, 2016.
