What do Madaari and Pursuit of Happyness have in common?
Irrfan Khan has always been in awe of movies tackling the bond shared by a father and son which includes Hollywood film Pursuit of Happyness starring Will Smith.
It has been Irrfan's dream to do a film similar to Pursuit of Happyness and it seems that he has finally achieved it with his upcoming film Madaari which will have him essay the character of a father. Apart from being a thriller, Madaari reportedly has a strong emotional core which the makers have kept under wraps.
In the trailer, director Nishikant Kamat introduces the characters but holds back from divulging plot details. One of the major reasons for Irrfan to come on board for Madaari was that the script explored the father-son bond.
Also starring Jimmy Shergill in lead, Madaari releases on 22 July 2016.
