Welcome Back saw a strong second day at the Box-Office, collecting Rs. 17.05 crore on Saturday. The film has recorded a jump of around 20 per cent on the first day collections, boding well for the movie's performance.

The film's ticket sales benefited from the partial holiday enjoyed at many places in India due to Janmashtami. However, the partial holiday does not take away the credit of Welcome Back's terrific performance at the Box-Office.

Like on Friday, the comedy did very well in mass dominated areas which was expected. Surprisingly, the film recorded a good jump in the multiplexes too on Saturday which proves that family audiences are interested to watch a clean comic entertainer.

Welcome Back Day Wise Collection:

  • Friday - Rs 14.35 crore
  • Saturday - Rs 17.05 crore

Another jump in the collection is expected on Sunday and a film like Welcome Back, which has an universal appeal, is almost certain to touch the Rs 20 crore mark on Sunday.

Welcome Back

More than the jump on Sunday, it will be very important for Welcome Back to hold on well during the weekdays as it was made on a high budget. Last week's release Phantom too recorded good collections over the weekend but crashed during the weekdays. It will be interesting to see how Welcome Back trends at the ticket window through the week considering the huge divide in the opinions of critics and movie going audiences.

Welcome Back has done well in the overseas market too with its two day (Thursday and Friday) collections being $1.2 Million (Rs 8 crore).
