Vidya Balan plays safe

Vidya Balan is said to be not willing to take too much of a risk in her upcoming film

Vidya Balan's last film Kahaani 2, won her many accolades, but the film did average business at box office. The actress is all geared up for her next film Begum Jaan, where she will be seen playing head of the brothel. A source says, "Vidya is personally looking into all matters related to this film. She has apparently decided to see the final edit and everything. The makers waiting for her to approve things and then only they will announce the release date officially."

Earlier it was said that the film will release this month, but it was pushed to March. However, there has been no official announcement from the makers. A source says, "Vidya is selective with her work and she has Solid expectations from this film. So that is the reason why she is a bit jittery about it."

Srijit Mukherji's film is an adoption of a Bengali film Rajkahini (2015). It is produced by Mahesh Bhatt and stars Gauahar Khan, Pallavi Sharda, Naseeruddin Shah and others.
